I hope you week has started off to a great start and you are on your way to hitting all of your goals for the week. I love the phrase when life give you lemons make lemonade. But honestly lately I have had a lot of lemons that have been getting on my nerves.
Friday I felt like everything that could go wrong went wrong. From people not doing what they are supposed to do and looking for me to fix it and just aggregated with my own personal stuff. I often wonder why people try to give you their lemons like you don’t have your own. I know as people we need relationships and love but when do people turn around and look in the mirror and figure it out.
One of the favorite things we love to do is complain about at work or the people in our lives not doing what we think they should be doing. Yes, I do this also so no shade. But for the last year I had to make the conscious effort to just figure it out myself with the guidance from people who can help in my area of need. As a educator a lot of what I need is not in a book. So I have to be resourceful and find the people with the expertise in the specific area that I need help in. Sitting back and waiting for someone to give me an answer is not going to help me or my educators in any way.
Resources are great however being resourceful in the biggest asset we have as individuals. So instead of complaining about all the lemons you don’t have or the lemons that are a problem, figure out how to fix them. Try to think about how to make your own lemonade then share with a friend.
Like I used to tell my Kindergartners “Sharing is caring”
When life gives you lemons make lemonade and share the knowledge. Complaining gets you nowhere.
