Lunch Break

Hey Divas,

I hope all is well and you are having an amazing Wednesday because I am. This is my favorite time of the year because school is winding down and I have a little more time to work out of the office. This is my first spring in Jacksonville and I love to explore new areas.

Now I do have to admit that this city is a little slower than what I’m used to but that might be a good thing. I’m so used to going 1000 miles per hour and never really having any downtime to think, process,  and reflect. But Jacksonville has become a quiet the storm in my  busy life. I have had a lot of time to wander around the city and see what I like and don’t like and also have meet some interesting (and I mean interesting) people.

One of the things I like to do if I’m working in the office is to visit Chamblins Uptown which is a coffee shop and used book store. It sits on the corner of N. Laura Street and has a great patio to do my favorite thing, people watch.

Every time I go in the store I get so overwhelmed with the plethora of book selections that they have I never know where to begin my search for the perfect book. One of the cool things about this place is they always support and display different artist around the city and sell their paintings and or artwork.  If you are in the mood to find a classic book or even an old classic DVD this is the perfect place for you.

This is the perfect place to take a break, grab some coffee and a great book for a relaxing afternoon.

Don’t forget to check out their Instagram to see their amazing used book selection. @chamblinsuptown
